Hey Hot Nozzlers,

 

We have good news and bad news. Let’s start with the bad news -  It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we are postponing our event this July. Many of our staff and attendees are unable to afford the trip (plane tickets were on average $700 for attendees) and we want to make our event as accessible as we can to as many as we can. We want to first thank MARS for being such a gracious potential host and HNS will still be making a donation to the museum on site for their time and effort. Please consider checking out MARS and making a donation to the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo, NY. Also, for good measure, take a second to leave a five star review for “MARS Club Rocket Launch Site” on Google - for a little extra HNS spice. 

 

The good news is that we are now planning to shift our efforts to our Hot Nozzleween event taking place at Friends of Amateur Rocketry (FAR) on Oct. 28-29. Check back soon for more info.

 

For those who have purchased tickets, we will be refunding you the cost and providing you with a free event ticket to our October event. 

 

For our east coasters, we are looking into multiple avenues to reduce travel costs and potentially assist in getting your rockets over to the west-coast. We apologize for the inconvenience and will put special attention on making sure you are still able to attend. We will contact all ticket holders with options on how to proceed.

 

This announcement has caused our leadership great pain because we know that many already have non-refundable flights or lodging accommodations. However, we still felt it best to postpone now in order to give everyone time to make arrangements. We also would rather postpone the event now in favor of an event that can reach its full potential instead of delivering a product that would not be up to our standards and would disappoint those who have spent a lot of money to come to our event.

 

As a scrappy group of volunteers, we do our best to provide the best experience and resources to you all. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience. For any special circumstances for those who were looking to attend the summer event or the fall event in the future, please email us and we will work with you to accommodate as best as we can.
